Barbara (Watts) Fogg
PORTLAND – Barbara was born in Brewer on Aug. 26, 1928, daughter of Seth and Dorothy Clark Watts. She married Sherman Fogg on Dec. 24, 1958 in Hampden. They made their home in the Brewer-Holden area, moving to Florida in 1979.
Barbara worked as an assistant to the purchasing agent at Eastern Maine General Hospital for many years. With her husband, they later owned and operated Sherman Homes, Inc from 1960 to 1977. They retired to New Smyrna Beach, Fla. where they lived for 27 years. They enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada in their motor home until Sherman’s death in 2006. After his death, Barbara moved to Portland to be close to her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Melvin R Watts, sister, Beatrice Jones; and stepson, Sheldon Fogg.
Barbara is survived by her beloved son, Richard Hazelton, Sr. and his wife Pamela; sister, Audrey Keeling; as well as her grandchildren, Richard Hazelton, Jr. (Reneé Shaw), Angela Lemelin (Rick), Adam Fogg, Valerie McPherson (Colin); great-grandchildren, Celine Hazelton (Samuel Shively), Cole Lemelin (Lauren), Ryan Hazelton (Isabella Dail) and Paige Lemelin; great-great-grandchildren Kennedy Lemelin and Whitt Hazelton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Park Danforth, The Cedars, and Hospice of Southern Maine for their loving care.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, at Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland.
