Arthur S. Brawn
WOOLWICH – Arthur S. Brawn, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
He was born in Bath on Sept. 21, 1941, son of Fred S. and Gertrude (Skillin) Brawn Jr. He graduated from Morse High School in Bath and was employed at a shoe factory in Brunswick, and later at Bath Iron Works as a pipefitter. He then was employed as a truck driver before owning and operating Gloria’s Country Inn in Linneus.
Arthur was a member of the Masonic Lincoln Lodge #3, member of the Scottish Rite, the Metis Native Indian tribe, Wiscasset Lions Club and a life member of the Woolwich Fire Department.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Brawn; one son, Raymond Brawn; two brothers, Bob Brawn and Charles Brawn.
He is survived by one son, Roger Brawn and his wife Greta of Woolwich; one brother, Allen Brawn and his wife Ruthie of Woolwich; two granddaughters, Breann Hale and her husband, Nathan of Bowdoinham and Jessica Mailly of Woolwich; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 2, at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Woolwich.
