Caitlin Rooney scored four goals to lead Wells to an 11-4 win over Bonny Eagle in an interclass girls lacrosse game Wednesday at Wells.
The Class C Warriors (5-0) also got two goals apiece from Payton Maxon, Kendall Maxon and Izzy Leslie.
Class A Bonny Eagle dropped to 2-4.
BASEBALL
CAPE ELIZABETH 19, YORK 6: Jimmy Hallowell drove in four runs with two hits, including a homer, and Max Hayward went 3 for 3 with three RBI to lead the Capers (4-3) past the Wildcats (5-1) in five innings at York.
Cape, which benefited from 18 walks and an error, scored four runs in the first inning and 10 in the second to open a 14-4 lead.
Caiden Johnson went 2 for 2 and drove in two runs for Cape Elizabeth.
Robbie Hanscom hit two doubles and Bradley Carr had a single and a double for York.
SANFORD 10, BONNY EAGLE 1: Drew Vessels went 4 for 5 and Matthew Hebert drove in three runs as the Spartans (3-1) beat the Scots (2-3) in Sanford.
Noah Corliss contributed a double and two RBI.
Canaan Wood hit a single and a double for Bonny Eagle.
BOYS LACROSSE
THORNTON ACADEMY 8, SCARBOROUGH 2: Ben Knox and Ben White each scored two goals as the Trojans (4-1) defeated the Red Storm (2-4) in Scarborough.
Colin Pennell made six saves for Thornton, which won 11 of 14 faceoffs.
Liam Sellinger and Josh Albert scored, and Caeden Humpage stopped 11 shots for Scarborough.
SOUTH PORTLAND 17, PORTLAND 8: Beckett Mehlhorn tallied eight goals, Ian House added five, and the Red Riots (5-2) handled the Bulldogs (5-2) in South Portland.
Tadhg O’Donnell netted three goals, Carmine Soucy also scored and Logan Hychko made nine saves for the Red Riots.
Andy Marvin and Louis Thurston each had three goals, Howard Larsen scored twice, and Reeve Grenier-DiDonato stopped eight shots for the Bulldogs.
