KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nancy Ann Farthing, 90, a Northland resident of Kansas City, Mo., passed away peacefully, Thursday April 10, 2025, at Wexford Place after a life well lived.

Nancy was an only child, born Feb. 5, 1935, to Lester and Cleo (Winters) Mussman in Columbus, Ohio.

After Nancy raised her children, she returned to school (late in life) to earn her master’s degree in Social Gerontology. She worked for several years as a social worker in the Lake of the Ozarks region.

Nancy’s passion was collecting antiques. She was always hunting for exceptional finds. Nancy owned her own antique shop for many years in Versailles, Mo. In her later years, she spent summers in Maine collecting antiques, gardening, volunteering at the Naples public library, and exploring the countryside.

Nancy is survived by her four children, Shauna Zahner, Sharon Stechman, Lisa Jameson, and Craig Farthing; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Cleo Mussman.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Naples, Maine. Memories of Nancy and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the library in Naples, Maine, where she volunteered many hours.
