James Everett Woodman
PORTLAND – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Everett Woodman. “Woody” passed away peacefully on Saturday April 12, 2025, in the afternoon at the age of 57.
James was born on Feb. 5, 1968, in Portland. He was the son of Stuart Alan Woodman and Margaret Louise Dunsmore.
James had an enormous amount of talent and career experience in the trades. He specialized in hardscape, landscape, tile, interior/exterior remodeling, he could do just about anything! He had passion for his craft, he did it with pride and his work was admired by all.
Woody’s quick whit humor and ability to make a rhyme on a dime, always left you smiling. If you witnessed him break out into dance you will forever remember him and the fact that you had a good time when you were with him. He often said, “The party’s always good when you party with Wood”.
James is survived by four brothers, John Woodman, Shawn Potter, Jeff Potter and Eric Potter. His best friends Jason “Son”, Misty “Mamacita” and Jaden “Jr.” Haddock; many cousins; nephews and nieces. James will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for family and close friends on May 3 at 1 p.m. on Pottersville Road, in Windham.
