Craft swap

Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St., is hosting a craft swap from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the historic wing. A social media post says to “bring in your gently-used craft supplies to swap with treasures of others.”

“Let’s reduce waste, share the creativity, and connect with fellow makers,” the library Friends’ group announced.

Art show at Community Center

An art show will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, in the Spruce Room at Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St. Works available include paintings, photographs, keychains, bookmarks and other handmade crafts.

Light snacks and beverages will be available.

Free senior activities

Events scheduled for 1-3 p.m. in the Redwood Room at Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St., include Bingo Blitz on Friday, April 18; Wheel of Fortune game show, April 22; and Cribbage Club, April 23.

Free coffee, water and snacks are always available.

The American Journal reported on April 16, 1975, that Highland Lake Grange was to celebrate its 100th birthday on April 17.
