Closed for Patriots Day observance
Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road, will be closed on Monday, April 21, and the adjacent Transfer Station will be closed on April 22.
Departments closed on April 21 will be Public Works, recreation and administrative offices for police and fire/rescue.
Free Easter egg hunt reminder
The Dorcas Society of Hollis and Buxton is sponsoring its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, on the athletic field at the intersection of routes 112 and 202, in Buxton. The Easter Bunny will make a personal appearance.
The event is for children age 10 and younger and participants are asked to check in early. A separate area will be designated for children age 3 and younger.
Free senior dinner
SAD 6 will host its annual senior citizens appreciation dinner at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in the cafeteria at Bonny Eagle High School, 700 Saco Road, Standish.
All senior citizens in the district – Buxton, Frye Island, Hollis, Limington and Standish – are invited for a free turkey dinner with all the fixings.
