Rosalind (McConnell) Wentworth

SCARBOROUGH – Rosalind (McConnell) Wentworth, 89, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Ledgewood Manor in Windham, after a short illness. She was born in Portland on Oct. 15, 1935, a daughter of the late James B. and Anita (Binette) McConnell.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Warren “Wardie” Hamilton and her second husband, Allan Wentworth; stepmother, Clara Ellen (Hersey) McConnell; nephew, Phillip Worster; and great niece, Charlie Rae Worster.

She is survived by her son, Warren and daughter-in-law, Denise Hamilton nine years; sisters, Janet (Ed) Pell of Nokomis, Fla., Dale Temm of Scarborough, brother, Peter (Marylou) McConnell of Buxton; four step-grandchildren, Christopher (Kelly) Willey of Buxton, Holly Bernier of Concord, N.C., Shaun (Emily) Poland of Kannapolis, N.C. and Scott (Kara) Poland of Manchester, N.H.; five step-great grandchildren, Krista (Kyle) Greenleaf, Erin (Emery) Chickering, Seth Bernier, Aubrey and Thomas Poland; along with several nieces, nephew and special friends. She also leaves behind Rachel Hamilton, her former daughter-in-law, who remained a beloved part of her life.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ledgewood Manor for their extraordinary care and compassion over the last couple of months. There will be no services.
