Historical society season opener
The Buxton-Hollis Historical Society will open for the season from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays beginning April 3. Its museum and headquarters are located at 100 Main St. (Route 4A), in Buxton.
The first monthly program of the spring is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Nancy Ponzetti, society president, will present a program about the Salmon Falls West and East National Historic Districts.
Besides Ponzetti, other society officers include Barry Plummer, vice-president, Buxton; Steve Roberts, vice-president, Hollis; Janice Hill, past president; Vicki Walker, secretary; and Linda Towle and Steve Roberts, treasurer.
