I don’t dislike or hate transgender people. What I hate is that women like our mothers fought so hard for women’s rights and protections, especially in sports, and now they are being trampled and destroyed by young men transferring to female.
They already have male hormones raging through their bodies, which make them stronger and faster than genetically born females.
If people want to allow transgender people to do sports, they should make a third category and allow competition among all transgender people. They shouldn’t destroy Title IX, and watch what our mums did to make an even playing field for future women, get destroyed and taken away from women.
Also, for Democratic men to shut up Rep. Laurel Libby, a woman on Maine’s House floor, and not allow her to speak as the First Amendment guarantees her right to do, again throws women back to the days of “women shall be seen but not heard.” All this is just wrong.
Where are all the feminists who fought so hard to protect women’s rights? Why do they stay silent and allow Democrats and men to take us back to the Dark Ages?

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
