Diane C. Raymond
OCEAN PARK – Diane C. Raymond, 75, of Ocean Park, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Biddeford on Jan. 21, 1949, a daughter of Raymond Laverriere and Lucille Berry. She grew up in Biddeford, and received her education from Biddeford High School.
Diane met her husband Armand while working at Pepperell Manufacturing in Biddeford. The couple was married on July 3, 1967. They initially settled in Biddeford, and then relocated to Lyman where they raised their four loving daughters. Throughout life Diane and Armand were inseparable, and their bond was the definition of a loving and supportive marriage.
Diane later went to work for Components, which soon became AVX, and retired in 2006 to care for her husband, Armand.
In her early years Diane liked to go fishing. She enjoyed puzzles, barbeques and time spent with her family. She loved watching the Boston Red Sox with her dad when he was alive, and more recently, she never missed morning coffee with her mom. For all the things Diane valued and considered precious, there was nothing she cherished more than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Diane was predeceased by her husband, Armand Raymond in 2008; her father, Raymond Laverriere; and by her son-in-law, John Cunningham.
She is survived by her mother, Lucille Berry; and by her children, Kathy (Michael) Maloney of Biddeford, Vicki Cunningham of Topsham, Denise Lajiness of Lebanon, and Lisa (Joshua) Gore of Acton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Shaundra, Caitlyne, Brittany, Kameron, Jazzmin, Maliek, Nichole, Christian, Jayden, Devon, Jacob and Benjamin; by nine great-grandchildren; by siblings Paula (Guy) Fontaine of Old Orchard Beach, and Ann Boucher of St. Agatha; as well as by nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
