Jorge Arango’s review of “A Cautionary Tale,” an exhibition of political satire by Natasha Mayers and Eva Goetz at Fort Hall Gallery in Brunswick, missed the mark by a wide margin.

Critics have to be careful of reviewing their own expectations. Political satire does not change minds or votes, it is an outlet for anger and frustration, both for the artist and the audience.

As America teeters on the edge of fascism, artists resisting tyranny by lampooning it is healthy for all but the tyrant.
