Hires, promotions, appointments
Joan Ferrini-Mundy, president of the University of Maine, and Patrick Woodcock, president and CEO of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, joined FocusMaine‘s leadership team. FocusMaine is a private-sector organization working to create jobs in the food industry and bioeconomy.
Dr. Lynn McGrath Jr. and Daniel Large joined Northern Light Mercy Hospital in spine surgery, and Dr. Shadi Saboori joined the hospital’s gastroenterology department. McGrath is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. Large is a physician assistant who previously worked in neurosurgery in Boston and Portland. Saboori is a general gastroenterologist.
Mark J. Charest of Westbrook joined the law firm of MillerAsen P.A. as an associate attorney. He has experience as a judicial extern for the Maine District Court, worked as a student attorney at the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, and was selected for a Maine Association for Public Interest Law Fellowship in 2020.
Nancy Jarrett was hired at Keller Williams Realty Greater Portland as assistant market center administrator.
