Enid Mary (Marshall) Thoms
VERO BEACH, Fla. / KENNEBUNK – Enid passed into the arms of Jesus very peacefully at her home in Florida on Sept. 27, 2024.
Her husband, Arthur Thoms, was talking to Enid and he asked her if she would like to hear some Christmas carols. Enid did not answer but her eyelids flickered. He sang “Silent Night”, “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Joy to the World”. As he sang, he felt he heard her sing a beautiful alto harmony. He stopped singing when the aide came in to administer her pain medication, but her breathing had stopped and the aide said, “It’s over”.
Enid will be buried in the Marshall lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk, next to her parents and brother, Sandy. Services were held previously.
