
William Donald Dow, 69, died Oct. 21, 2024, peacefully in his home surrounded by family.
He was born on Jan. 28, 1955, in Kittery, Maine, to Donald Augustus Dow and Ruth Marion Dow.
Bill loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He worked as a truck driver at American Steel and Aluminum in South Portland Maine for over 20 years. Bill changed occupations and worked his last seven years at Pierson’s Nursery of Dayton and retired in 2022. While working at the nursery, he made great friendships and enjoyed his work.
Bill was a Free Mason of the Goodwins Mills, Maine, lodge and a member of the Goodwins Mills United Methodist Church.
Survived by: Linda Jean Dow, wife of 42 years.; two daughters, Jennifer Viola Martel, and Nicole Marie Donovan; three grandchildren, Cali Lee Martel, Annabelle Jean Donovan, and Jack Joseph Donovan; two sons-in-law, Matthew Robert Martel, and Gregory Joseph Donovan; and one sister, Patricia Ann Dow.
Bill was a wonderful husband and father. He will be missed dearly by his entire family. Private services will be held.
