Lori Gramlich
works hard for OOB
This November, I am voting to re-elect State Representative Lori Gramlich to the Maine State Legislature. For the past six years, Lori has been a consistent voice for Old Orchard Beach, not only protecting our beach and shoreline as chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee, but also advocating for our business community. She most recently received the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Municipal Leadership award. After this winter’s devastating floods, Lori was able to leverage her relationships in Augusta to assure that FEMA funds were available to our town. In addition to her keen understanding of the relationship between our beach and the business community, Lori has also been a tireless advocate for children and our older Mainers. Her work on our behalf is done with integrity, passion and commitment. Please join me in voting for State Rep. Lori Gramlich on Nov. 5.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
