Regardless of our political leanings – conservative Republican or liberal Democrat – I ask readers to consider which candidate, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, best models what we wish our kids to be exposed to.
Which one exemplifies the principles and values of our democracy that we’d like to see passed on to our children? Is it anger, blustering, narcissism, lying, denial and winning at all costs, or is it concern for all Americans of any race, creed, ethnicity, rich or poor, to live lives of decency, respect, empathy and joy strengthened by a can-do attitude?
Please don’t let democracy sink to the values of Donald Trump and his enablers. We simply cannot afford this, and neither should our kids.
