NEW BERN, N.C. –
Richard Joseph Lane, 87, of new Bern, N.C. passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. Born in Portland to Thomas and Muriel Markley.
He loved golf, football, the Navy, and ….God Bless America.
Richard is survived by his wife, Geneva; and children, Denise, Richard Jr., Crystal and David.
Richard was predeceased by his son, Daniel.
A graveside service for Richard was held Friday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Rd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
