I love our beautiful parks, growing bike and trail networks, and the ability to walk and bike to neighborhood businesses in Portland. Unfortunately, this reality is out of reach for many of the people who work in our city. Of the 30 team members in my outpatient medical office on outer Congress, I am the only one who lives in Portland. The high cost of housing has led to longer commutes for our team and a competitive disadvantage when recruiting nurses, medical assistants, schedulers and physicians to meet the growing need in our community.
Todd Morse brings both vision and a practical understanding of how the City Council can help solve our housing crisis. He has experience building coalitions to achieve meaningful change so that our workers have the option to live closer to where they work. Please join me in supporting Todd Morse for District 1 city councilor.
