I’ve come to know Christina Mitchell through serving together as school board members and believe strongly that she will well represent the residents of Cumberland, Chebeague and Long Island at the State House. In addition to school board, Mitchell is a longtime educator. She has worked with English language learners, provided leadership on school facilities and curriculum, and stood firm against attempts to ban books.

Mitchell is dedicated, forthright and thoughtful. She tells it like it is, stands up for what she believes in, and is also willing to listen and take new information into account. These qualities make her a strong leader and collaborator. She will bring these skills and leadership to the issue of education at the state level, and to other important issues affecting our communities, from the economy to health care and reproductive rights.
