Dan Stone’s Sept. 22 op-ed (“Beware the protest vote bias“) was very thoughtful and well written, however it really missed the point. If Harris loses it is because she and her party couldn’t convince enough voters. As my mother used, to say: “And whose fault is that?”
Shifting the blame of a loss to the voters who didn’t vote for you is a case of trying to avoid responsibility for a poor performance.
