Michael R. Langis
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Michael R. Langis of Springfield, Ore., formerly of Westbrook, passed away at home on Sept. 20, 2024.
He was born in Portland on Sept. 15, 1948, the son of Louis P. Langis and Jessica O. Cairnes Langis. He attended Westbrook schools and graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a B.A. in Political Science. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 and in the Vietnam War as a member of the 269th Combat Aviation Battalion.
Michael was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Langis; his daughter, Allison Langis-Bernier, Brian and Christopher Langis; and six grandchildren, Nelson, Nathan, Cameron, Devin, Samuel and Chelsea.
