For a “nation under God,” we certainly have a lot of hate speech and lies. How can we have free and fair elections when deceit is accepted?
Whoever I vote for must:
1. Answer the question they are presented.
2. Not attempt to deceive or equivocate.
3. Have outgrown the need to name call.
If a candidate is asking for my vote, they must try to do all three.
The candidate and the voter must do the best they can, noting that no one is perfect. We must respect ourselves and try not to be played for a fool by ethically challenged people.
There are good people out there; not perfect people, but decent, caring people. We must use our brains and sense of decency and respect ourselves.
