Hires, promotions, appointments

Patrick Caron and Jeff McCabe have joined the Maine Sports Commission Board of Directors. Caron is the founder of Move Free, an international outdoor brand offering consciously crafted activewear and movement experiences for athletes and adventurers. McCabe works as the director of the Maine Office of Outdoor Recreation.

Maine College of Art and Design added four new members to its board of directors: Charles Butterfield, founder and president of Boulder Wind Consulting; Jeana Cho, attorney and former vice president of marketing at Knours; Stacey Dietsch, executive vice president of talent pipeline at Liberty Mutual; and Sue Lambe, a retired director of public art for the city of Austin, Texas.

Gary Couture of Sappi North America was appointed managing director of the Westbrook Mill.

Kiana Joler was hired as administrative coordinator at OUT Maine.

Jamele-Townley

Maura Fox, a board-certified family medicine physician, Lauren Jamele-Townley, a board-certified pediatrician, and Kaitlyn C. McCune, a board-certified OB-GYN have joined InterMed. Fox and Jamele-Townley will be based out of the 100 Foden Road location in South Portland and McCune will work at Marginal Way in Portland.

Ashley Wolf joined Hay Runner as an interior designer with experience leading design projects of all sizes in Maine and northern New England.

Giving back

Camden National Bank’s employee-led Diversity Council donated $10,000 to Coastal Enterprises Inc., a Maine-based organization that addresses child care, caregiving, education and mentorship, the growth of woman-owned small businesses and other critical community concerns.

Granted

OUT Maine received a $17,000 grant from United Midcoast Charities last month to support its work increasing equitable and accessible services in health care, mental health and community-based settings for LGBTQ+ youth and adults.
