George David Gudbrandsen
LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. – George David Gudbrandsen, 84, died on July 2, 2024 in Lawrenceburg, Ky. after a brief illness surrounded by his daughters.
He was born on May 14, 1940, in Dorchester, Mass., the son of Haakon and Dorothy (Clough) Gudbrandsen. George attended Revere High School in Revere, Mass, and graduated in 1958. He then worked his life as a master electrician for various construction companies traveling throughout the east and midwest.
Raising his children in Farmington, George built his family a home and remodeled several others during his lifetime. When he could no longer build, he continued his dream by sketching family homes, dreaming we’d one day all live together. He had a love and respect for nature and throughout his life hiked many mountains in Maine and while traveling. He loved spending time with family and his favorite pal, Baloo.
George is survived by three daughters, Christine Gudbrandsen Dyment of Ft. Fairfield, Dianne Gudbrandsen Beaulieu of Lawrenceburg, Ky. and Julie Ellen Gudbrandsen of Bridgton; grandchildren, Ryan Ashley Deschaine, Christopher Gudbrandsen, Robyn Bettencourt, Curtis Blackwell, Wayne Dyment, Jr., Chelsea Klemes, Autumn Gudbrandsen; and several great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Gudbrandsen Rinaldi of North Carolina and brother, Donald Gudbrandsen of Florida.
George was predeceased by his son, David Bruce Gudbrandsen; sisters Roberta Jean Gudbrandsen and Lois Gudbrandsen King, brother, Robert Gudbrandsen; and parents Haakon and Dorothy Gudbrandsen.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
