I am writing this letter because of the importance of this upcoming election. As a resident of Scarborough, I feel it’s my responsibility to highlight the crucial role local representation plays in our community.
Sen. Stacy Brenner has been a dedicated advocate for Scarborough in the State Senate. As chair of the Environmental and Natural Resources Committee, her work has benefited our region.
Brenner’s support became personal for us after the winter storms devastated Scarborough’s beaches and homes. Her leadership helped pull together state resources to meet with residents and find solutions. She ensured we had the guidance and assistance needed during those challenging times.
When federal disaster relief was requested, Brenner helped keep the community informed about the process for seeking aid.
That’s why I’m supporting Brenner for reelection. Her leadership and dedication have made a real difference in our lives.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
