An 80-year-old man from Old Orchard Beach who was reported missing has been safely located, police said Sunday.

A silver alert was issued for Allan Altobell after he left his Eden Road home on foot at about 8:30 a.m. According to a news release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, Friday. A notice posted on Facebook by the Old Orchard Beach Police Department said Altobell was last seen in the area of Memorial Park.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss announced Sunday afternoon that Altobell was found and is safe.
