Carolyn F. Weeks
CAPE ELIZABETH – Carol peacefully passed away July 17, 2024, one day after turning 90.
Born July 16, 1934, in Lewiston, daughter of Chase “Tim” Eastman Fogg and Virginia “Ginnie” Wilson Fogg.
She grew up in Readfield. An alum of Kents Hill graduating 1951.
While living in Cape Elizabeth, she worked as a receptionist at various businesses in the Portland area, but most notably at Union Oil Company and Roger Williams Advertising Agency. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Purpoodok Club. While Carol displayed an easy going character – she was a formidable rival on the links.
After raising her five children in Cape Elizabeth she married Richard Weeks and moved to Cundy’s Harbor in Harpswell where they lived for 20 years. Richard and Carol enjoyed their retirement as snowbirds and wintered in Homosassa, Fla. To fill up their time as retirees they enjoyed antiquing and being antique dealers.
While at Ashton Gardens, Carol was known to be rather flirtatious and feisty. Walking the halls with her “sticks”, ready and willing to use them as “weapons” for those that dare to tease her. Always with a smile of course. She was quite the competitive Bingo player. Any and all appointments had to be arranged around her BINGO days.
Carol recently moved into The Landing in Cape Elizabeth after several years of living at Ashton Gardens in Portland.
Carol was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Richard Weeks; and her daughter, Julianne Fournier Stimus.
She is survived by her three sons, Rick Fournier and wife Renee Ordway of Bangor, Stephen Fournier and wife Diana Johnson Fournier of South Portland, David Fournier of South Portland and partner Treg Peavey, a daughter, Deirdre Fournier of Cape Elizabeth; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her ex-husband Dick Fournier of Green Valley, Ariz. and wife Jane Fournier.
Per Carol’s wishes there will be no funeral service; her remains will be buried in Cundy’s Harbor next to Richard.
