Trumpism is what is too old. Way too old.
Joe Biden has done an excellent job as president. His primary job in 2020 was to get Donald Trump out. It would have been nice if times had remained calm and he could have been a caretaker of the office while both major parties regrouped and new younger leaders could emerge. But events have been anything but calm domestically and internationally. And Trump refused to accept the election results and refuses to go away.
Biden’s accomplishments as president are worthy of a second term. When he took office, he swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution. He has done so and can be trusted to do so again — unlike Trump who repeatedly abused the office for personal gain. Both impeachments were more than warranted.
President Biden has a capable vice president in Kamala Harris and will do the responsible thing and step aside for the good of the country should that become necessary. Let’s hope the Republican Party gets the message that Trump and Trumpism are not good for either their party or the country and give the voters good candidates in future elections.
