June Roy

BIDDEFORD – June L. Roy, 83, of Biddeford, passed away early Sunday morning on June 30, 2024, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Black Lake, Quebec, Canada, on Oct. 29, 1940, a daughter of Conrad and Alice (Tremblay) Douville. She graduated from St. Alphonse High School in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada.

At the age of 17, June moved to Saco with her family. She met her husband Norman in 1960 and they were married on July 1, 1961. The couple raised their son Lawrence.

June worked in various industries. She was employed by St. Francis College/University of New England and for Peterson Reality and Connolly Webber Real Estate. She later worked for Malon Chiropractic Centre, retired in 2010.

June was an avid reader, enjoyed playing games on her computer and gardening. But most of all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and the family care giver. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband Norman Roy on Feb. 25, 2023, and by three siblings Joyce Stahl, Alwin “Al” Douville and Anne Douville.

She is survived by her son Lawrence Roy and his wife Nancy and siblings Bess Geldohof and husband Rick and Robert “Bob” Douville and wife Ginette and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m., Friday, with a Funeral Service at 1 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco.
