Dan Coyne’s (Sunday, June 23) opinion piece about ALICE (asset limited, income constrained, employed) workers deserves additional attention.
Coyne closes by asking, “What role will you play?” This is powerful data, and I encourage people to visit the online dashboard United for ALICE, which is open to the public. Here, they can read reports, download statistics, and search by ZIP code or town/city. The role I suggest everyone can play is to first make themselves familiar with this information. Second, share this knowledge with a friend or co-worker. And third, integrate it into their everyday activities. It could be something as simple as letting it inform how they approach a situation.
