In your coverage of Ethan Strimling’s eviction case, you have left out a huge piece of essential background for this story.
While you mention that Strimling is involved with rent control and the Democratic Socialists of America, your writer omits the truly jaw-dropping behavior that his landlord has been accused of over the years. For reference, see Chris Busby’s “Slumlord Millionaire,” published in The Bollard in November 2021, which details layer upon layer of accusations about how Geoffrey Rice has managed his affairs.
I’m not arguing that Strimling has been a saint throughout this conflict with his landlord, but if half of what’s been written about Rice is true, it greatly strengthens Strimling’s case.
