Sabre and Back Cove has hired Allie Alsup as marketing and social media manager. Alsup previously worked in digital marketing at Firecrown Media Group. She earned a bachelor’s in marketing and an advanced graduate certificate in human resource management from the University of Connecticut.

Melinda Cote has joined the Fontaine Family — The Real Estate Leader as an agent at their Auburn location. For the past 20 years, Cote has served as a preschool special education teacher at the Margaret Murphy Centers for Children. She earned a bachelor’s in early childhood special education from University of Maine at Farmington.

Maine Children’s Alliance has hired Ashleigh Barker as their new executive director. Barker spent the last 15 years at The Progress Center Inc. and served as their executive director for the past four. She received a bachelor’s in social and behavioral science from the University of Southern Maine and a master’s in business administration from Saint Joseph’s College.
Casco Bay Island Transit District, also known as Casco Bay Lines, has appointed John Warnock to general manager. Warnock was previously a strategic communication analyst for Worldwide Counter Threat Solutions LLC. Warnock also served in the Navy for 29 years.

Nick Malone has been hired as a sales agent for Malone Commercial Brokers. Malone was previously a financial analyst for MaineHealth. He received a bachelor’s in economics and finance from Bentley University.

The Illustration Institute has hired Chris Moore as the new development director. Previously, Moore served as the program director at 317 Main Community Music Center for a decade. Moore received a bachelor’s in theater from Skidmore College.

Mark Smith is the new general manager at the Damariscotta location of Hancock Lumber. Smith was last a corporate hardware purchasing agent and merchandising manager at Ware-Butler in Waterville. He earned a project manager certification from University of New England in Portland.

United Way of Southern Maine has appointed six new board members. The new board members include Dr. Abdullahi Ahmed, executive director of secondary education at Portland Public Schools, Anthony Cataldi, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Partners Bank, Alex Gramling, chief marketing officer and chief social impact officer at Healthcare IT Leaders, Rupa Lall Pakash, Southern Maine Community College’s director of human resources, Nannette Ranger-Duncanson, vice president of U.S. ESG colleague engagement & education and Joseph “J.J.” Rouhana, L.L.Bean’s chief information officer.

Keriann Roman has been appointed to the Partners Bank board of directors. Roman is an attorney at Drummond Woodsum specializing in municipal law, environmental and natural resources and land use and conservation. She received a bachelor’s in environmental sciences and political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a juris doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
