The Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for new member, On the Beach Motel, located at 61 West Grand Ave. June 18.
JJ Mokarzel purchased the hotel in 2021 and had operated it under its former name, the Old Colonial Motel. With the new season in 2024 and many renovations, JJ decided it was for a new name and has rebranded the Old Colonial as On the Beach Motel.
Members of the Chamber, community members and friends attended the ribbon cutting.
