Marie “Lillian” Chenard

WATERBORO – Marie “Lillian” Chenard, 76, of East Waterboro, passed away June 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Biddeford, June 22, 1947 the daughter of Thomas and Laura Sevigny Bloomfield. She was the sixth of seven children. On July 3, 1965 she married the love of her life, John Chenard at Notre Dame de Lourdes.

Over her working years Marie worked as an assembler at Maremont, entrepreneur of small business then transitioned to healthcare profession where she worked as a CNA and CRMA.

She enjoyed walking on the beaches, knitting and baking cakes for special occasions. She enjoyed the holidays with family especially Christmas.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband, John Chenard; her daughter, Laura Chenard Harrington and husband Thomas of Limerick, her son, Roger Chenard and wife Nikki of Bryant Pond, her son, Troy Chenard and wife Sherry of East Waterboro, her son, John Chenard Jr. and wife Karen of Saco; 10 grandchildren, Michael Prior, Andrew Prior, Marie Harrington, Thomas Harrington, Katherine Chenard, Trevor Chenard, John Chenard III, Kaitlynne Chenard, Nicholas Chenard, and Dominick Bubar; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday June 20 at 11 a.m. at the Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco.

Burial at a later date at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
