Wayne Charles Gerry

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Wayne Charles Gerry passed away with family by his side on June 2, 2024, in Jacksonville, Fla.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 30, 1939, to the late Oliver and Arria Gerry. He grew up in Poland Spring and spent most of his years in Maine before moving to Georgia and then Florida.

He was a man of deep faith and married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Betty” Gerry, and they were married for 62 years. He devoted his life to her and helped to support her care over the past several years in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Wayne loved his family and was the proud father of Deborah and husband, Will, of Ouray, Colo., Stephen and wife, Pauline, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Andrew and wife, Jacquelyn, of South Portland. Wayne also leaves behind his wife, Betty; and brother, Jack; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
