Freeman Scott Hatch, 45, of Sanford died on May 16, 2024, in Kennebunk.

Freeman was born on Jan. 19, 1979, in Biddeford to Scott and Vicki Hatch. Freeman completed his GED and worked several jobs, currently he was working at Hurricane Restaurant in Kennebunkport.
Freeman was the scariest looking, soft-hearted person known. When he was not working, you could find him rock crawling with his radio-controlled trucks, skateboarding, building models, and shooting photography. His love for his family and others was a natural part of his beautiful soul. Freeman was a member of the Southern Maine Sasquatch Group.
He is survived by his father, Scott Hatch, his mother, Vicki Davis, brothers Robert Hatch and Darren Davis, and sister Megan Davis.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
