Mary Lou Rand Hodgkins

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – It is with sadness we announce the passing of Mary Lou Rand Hodgkins on Oct. 12, 2023 in Venice, Fla. She was 73 years old.

Born in Portland, the daughter of Lawrence and Thelma Rand. Mary Lou attended local schools and graduated from Portland High in 1968.

After her marriage, she and her husband, Bill, moved to Florida where they made a wonderful life together, until his recent passing.

Mary Lou was predeceased by her parents; and husband, William Hodgkins.

She is survived by her brother, Paul of Washington State and her brother, Dale of Portland; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and good friends.

Mary Lou was a sweet and kind person, a wonderful sister and friend. She will be missed.

A short graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 10 at Brooklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2002 Congress St., Portland. A gathering to celebrate her life will follow at Bruno’s Restaurant.
