LEWISTON — First responders and state and local police responded Saturday to a 5:40 p.m. call near 1344 Sabattus St., according to officials.

Lewiston police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent confirmed at 6:30 p.m. that police were in a standoff near that location. An officer on the scene said around 6:15 p.m. that no one had been injured.

A Maine State Police armored vehicle and a separate vehicle marked Crisis Negotiation Team arrived on scene about 7:50 p.m.

No further details were immediately available as of 9:45 p.m.
