Arthur “Art” D. Paisley

PORTLAND – Arthur D. Paisley, “Art”, 82, died Oct. 5, 2023, at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born Portsmouth, N.H. on Feb. 8, 1941 the son of Charles H. and Harriet D. Paisley.

He graduated from Portsmouth, N.H. in 1959, Wentworth Institute Boston, Mass. in 1963. Worked at Argon Nuclear Plant Idaho Falls, Idaho 1963-1965; GE 1966-1996 and various jobs from 1996-2016. He was a member of the Elks, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club, Moose Lodge, Sons of AMVETS.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nancy.

Survivors are his brothers Albert H. Paisley and his wife Linda of Topsham, Peter E. Paisley and his wife Paulette M. of Eliot, his daughters Jennifer L. Luban of Greenville, S.C., Theresa L. Herzog and her husband Steven W. of Bonneau, S.C., and his son, Steven A. Paisley of Dover, N.H.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews; and cousins.

The family thanks the staff at the Gosnell Hospice House for all the loving care that Arthur received and the wonderful support that they provided to his family.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland.
