Pham So Do

PORTLAND – Pham So Do, 81, of Portland and formerly of Bangor, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

Pham was born in Vietnam and educated there. In 1978, he fled Vietnam, lived in a refugee camp in Malaysia for six months before coming to the United States.

Pham was employed as a cook for Oriental Jade in Bangor for over 30 years. In July of 2023, Pham and his wife Mui moved to Portland to be closer to family.

He is survived by his wife, Mui Tang; daughters Esheen Conrad and husband David Conrad, Esia Do and husband Matthew Newcomb, and son Eling Do and wife Michelle Do. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Leah, Jade, Sydney, Christopher, Alexander, Kaylei, and Sophia; and one great-grandson, Easton; one sister, Ka Wong; and nieces Jeanie, Annie, Nancy, and Christine.

Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco.
