Richard B. Raymond

FREEPORT – “Dick” passed away Saturday Aug. 19, 2023 on Lower Flying Point in Freeport.

He was born in Lewiston, the son of Bertrand and Imelda Raymond. Dick started playing music and hockey at a very young age. He attended Husson College in Bangor and graduated with a degree in business and a master’s in education from USM Gorham.

He had many passions, and one was music. Dick was an incredible musician and opened his own successful business, Dick Raymond Enterprises, booking musical entertainment while also playing keyboards in several bands, performing as a DJ, doing countless wedding receptions, anniversary parties and club appearances and more.

He was also an avid golfer with two holes-in-one and played in tournaments and leagues his whole life. Most recently he loved playing with his friends in the Maine Seniors and Southern Maine Seniors and two golf leagues in Florida.

After retirement, he enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in Maine where you would have probably found him on the golf course, playing piano at the Muddy Rudder Restaurant in Freeport or you might have spotted him at the Fryeburg Fair.

Dick is survived by his wife, Jane Sadler; his son, Rich Raymond II; and granddaughter, Winter Raymond.

A private celebration of life was held in Freeport.

Arrangements are entrusted with Stetson’s Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Stetson’s Funeral Home website, http://www.stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
