Dorothy Mary Tynemouth

PORTLAND – Dorothy Mary Tynemouth died Aug. 18, 2023 in Portland.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert. She was the loving and generous mother of Brian and his wife Suzanne, Gail Reardon and her husband Don; grandmother of Sarah Caparrotta and her husband Dan; great-grandmother of Ted and Sylvia. She is survived by many relatives in England.

She and her husband served in the RAF during WWII and then emigrated to the United States. After living in New York and New Hampshire they retired to Lubec. After her husband’s passing she moved to Yarmouth to be close to her daughter. She spent her final years at 75 State Street, an independent and assisted living facility. Her passions included family, gardening and classical music.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church, 346 Main St., Yarmouth on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
