BIDDEFORD — Sharon A. Cyr, 74 of Biddeford, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, after a long, brave battle with COPD.
Sharon was a brilliant, dedicated Special Education teacher working for and retiring from the Biddeford School Department after 25 years of service. She was beloved by her students, families and colleagues alike. She was extraordinary and changed so many lives.
Sharon also loved her family deeply. They meant the world to her. She may have been raised Catholic, but she was a devout member of the Church of Family. She is survived by her sister Jeannette Kaler of Biddeford, Jeannette’s daughter Amanda Sigler and husband Chuck Sigler of Biddeford, her daughter Kirsten Cyr and husband Jeremy Fink of Portland and their son Jack Fink, son Christopher Cyr of Biddeford and his children Abigail Blyler, Joshua Cyr and Ellie Cyr, her son Colby Cyr and his wife Becky Cyr of Sudbury, Massachusetts. and their children Olivia Cyr, Hannah Cyr and James Cyr.
At Sharon’s request a private celebration of life will be held.
