BIDDEFORD – Eloise Edith Jasper, 79 of Biddeford passed away September 12, 2023 at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford, Maine where she has resided for the last several years.

She was born August 11, 1944 at The Osteopathic Hospital of Portland, Maine to Merwin V. and Lillian E. (Libby) Jasper.

She graduated from Windham High School and went on to graduate from the Maine School of Practical Nursing on Septembrt 18, 1963. Her first job in nursing was at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine for nearly 12 years. She became licensed as a physical therapist assistant in 1980 and began helping people with physical therapy needs. She did in-home nursing until she retired.

Eloise was very active at Seacoast Chapel in Saco where she taught Sunday School 25 years ago, was a member of the choir, director of food activities, and so much more. A special thank you to her dear friend, Mona McLean, and many others for making sure she had a ride to church functions after she could no longer drive.

She enjoyed trips to Montana with church members and with her mother to the Grand Canyon and California. She loved spending time at Dundee Pond in Windham with her brother and his family, as well as visiting Byron, Maine where her mother and father lived in their later years.

Eloise was a very caring, loving, and giving person and she contributed much of her time to many organizations. Eloise also loved her cats, Barnabus and Timothy.

Survivors of her family include her brother M. Errol Jasper and his wife Donna; their daughters, Laurie and Susan Jasper and Diane Day, their son James Jasper and his wife Samantha and their sons Graham and Parker Jasper, along with many cousins.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Seacoast Chapel, 228 Buxton Road, Saco, Maine. Burial will be Sunday October 1, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Friends Cemetery, 386 Gray Road, Windham.
