A Limerick man died Friday morning after his SUV crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming truck in North Waterboro.
Joshua Gochie, 35, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee south in the area of 1068 Sokokis Trail when he veered into the northbound lane, according to York County Sheriff William King. He hit a GMC pickup truck belonging to Alex Martin, 28, who was towing a trailer carrying an antique tractor.
Gochie died at the scene.
York County sheriff’s deputies, state troopers and the Waterboro Fire Department responded to the scene. Martin, who also lives in Limerick, was transported to the hospital with not-life threatening injuries.
Officials closed the road while police continued to investigate the crash. The road was expected to reopen by 1:45 p.m., King said.
