SACO – Mark “Stevie” Giamattio, passed away on Sept. 8, 2023, at the age of 36. Born on June 15, 1987, Stevie’s life was marked by his passion for his work and his unwavering love for his family.

Stevie found his calling in the asphalt industry, where he worked tirelessly as a paver and sealcoating specialist. His enthusiasm for his craft was infectious, and he took great pride in the precision and quality of his work. Stevie’s dedication to his profession was evident to all who knew him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stevie will be remembered for the warmth and kindness he brought into the lives of those around him. He possessed a heart of gold, and his caring and giving nature were evident in all his actions. Stevie had an incredible sense of humor and an unparalleled ability to make people laugh, bringing joy to every gathering and lightening the heaviest of hearts.

Stevie’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He cherished his role as a father and fiancé above all else. His love for his fiancé, Lacey Lambert, and his children, daughter Rylie Carrier, son Preston Giamatteo, and twin daughters, Ava and Gianna Giamatteo, knew no bounds. Stevie’s family meant the world to him, and he made sure to express his love for them every day, creating a loving and nurturing home filled with laughter and happiness.

Stevie is survived by his parents, Leanna and Christopher Hannah; his sisters, Danielle Vitruls and Marissa Hannah; his father, Mark Plourde; his grandparents, Claire and John Thurber and grandfather Gerry Plourde, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mark’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, from 4-7 p.m., at Hope Memorial Chapel, located at 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral outside of Mass will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, also at Hope Memorial Chapel.
