A 52-year-old man died early Thursday morning in a motorcycle crash in Scarborough.

A 911 caller reported the crash at 5:40 a.m. near 96 Broadturn Road. Scarborough police said Brian Buck died at the scene.

It appears that speed was a factor in the crash and that no other vehicles were involved, police said.

Police did not immediately release Buck’s hometown.

Broadturn Road between Route 1 and Ash Swamp Road was closed for several hours while Scarborough police and a reconstructionist team from the Windham Police Department investigated the crash.

Anyone with information that could assist police with the investigation is asked to call Officer Ian Theriault at 730-4325.
