in Scarborough
Town & Country Federal Credit Union contributed $1,000 to support students in Scarborough through Project GRACE. The project’s annual back-to-school supplies fund helps more students return to school with backpacks full of the supplies and necessities they need to succeed.
“We are so grateful to Town & Country for their generous donation,” Project GRACE Executive Director Stephanie Cox said in a press release. “This donation helps us make sure all Scarborough children in grades K-12 start off the school year prepared and on the right foot.”
Linda Halleran, community engagement manager at the credit union, delivered the contribution in person at the Scarborough Public Library where backpacks were being prepared.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
