Michael Wayne Quint

HODGDON / PORTLAND – Michael Wayne Quint, 64, passed away June 14, 2023, at his home in Hodgdon. He was born June 20, 1958, in Houlton, the son of Wayne and Lorraine (Davis) Quint.

Michael graduated from Houlton High School and attended the University of Southern Maine in Portland. During college, he worked at Benoit’s in Westbrook. He went on to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, and for many years at Triple A, where he retired.

Always interested in politics and government, Michael served as State Representative for Portland in the State Legislature from 1996-2002. He loved living in Portland and the politics of the city. He will be remembered for his love of family, gadgets, current events, and especially his dogs. He enjoyed traveling, spending time in China, Egypt, and Italy, and loved to visit his friends in Amsterdam.

Michael is survived by his parents Wayne and Lorraine Quint; two brothers, Matthew Quint and wife, Cheryl, and Peter Quint; nieces Brittany and significant other, Ryan, and Jacy, nephews Ethan and wife, Carly, and Zachary; great-nephews Emerson and Soyer; and many cousins.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at St. Mary of the Visitation Church, 112 Military St., Houlton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to share conversation and refreshments at the St. Mary Parish Hall following the Mass.
